The Starling Medical Group, PC is looking for a Medical Team Lead to manage its world-class PMHNP team. This role combines managerial responsibility, managing a team of 15-20 contractor nurse practitioners, with some direct care. You’ll work closely with and report directly to the Chief Medical Officer.
The ideal candidate is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner independently licensed in two or more of the following states: NY, DC, PA, IL, MD, VA, TX, AZ, NJ, and/or NV. This candidate has an interest and expertise in perinatal mental health, a passion for providing direct patient care that delivers exceptional outcomes, and skill in managing and motivating a remote clinical team. You’ll excel in this role if you are an empathic clinician, intuitive leader, able to thrive in a dynamic environment, and an excellent communicator. What you’ll do

  • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of PMHNPs, providing feedback, and guidance through regular check-ins with direct reports and monthly individual meetings
  • Collaborate with your clinicians to develop individualized treatment plans for patients, based on comprehensive assessments and clinical best practices
  • Serve as main point of contact for your team, answering questions and providing support in a timely manner
  • Conduct ongoing quality assurance through charting note reviews and identifying areas for improvement
  • Conduct holistic, comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow up sessions remotely using specialized techniques and interventions tailored to the unique needs of patients experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
  • Lead monthly medical team meetings
  • Host regular open office hours for your team to answer clinical questions
  • Help build the Starling Medical Group culture while supporting and encouraging clinical team engagement

Who you are

  • Experience and empathy as a clinical leader, manager, and administrator
  • Experience serving prenatal and postpartum families
  • Ability to be flexible and pivot tasks efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Clinical expertise utilizing evidence-based models of care
  • Experience, skill, and passion for facilitating online virtual psychiatric care
  • Comfort and proficiency with virtual platforms, electronic health records, and google suite, as well as an eagerness to learn new programs efficiently

Details

  • Expectation of availability: 10-20 hours per week. A minimum of 3 hours per week administrative time must be during business hours, business days.
  • Contract Role: Flexible schedule
  • Remote
  • Payment: $70 per hour for administrative, management
  • Direct patient care $75-80 per hour
