Overview: Join our dynamic network of Nurses looking to become Telehealth Nurse Triage Specialists in a remote contact center. We’re seeking compassionate and experienced nurses who are interested in providing telephonic, chat, or video triage services. In this type of role, you’ll utilize your clinical expertise, critical thinking skills, and nursing process to deliver exceptional virtual care. This type of role offers the flexibility of remote work and the opportunity to contribute to improving healthcare accessibility.

Responsibilities may include:

  1. Conducting telephonic, chat, or video triage assessments to evaluate patient symptoms and determine appropriate care interventions.
  2. Utilizing nursing process and critical thinking skills to accurately assess, prioritize, and provide recommendations for patient care.
  3. Working independently to manage incoming triage requests efficiently and effectively.
  4. Collaborating with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care coordination.
  5. Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and triage outcomes.
  6. Demonstrating empathy, compassion, and professionalism while delivering virtual care services.
  7. Acting as a resource for patients, providing education and guidance on healthcare resources and treatment options.
  8. Adhering to legal and ethical standards of nursing practice, maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
  9. Participating in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay updated on best practices and industry trends.
  10. Contributing to a positive team environment by fostering open communication and collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications:

  1. Active, unencumbered nursing license.
  2. Minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  3. Clinical experience in a healthcare setting is required.
  4. Experience in telehealth triage or remote patient care is preferred.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a remote, virtual environment.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  8. Proficiency in using telehealth technology platforms and electronic medical records systems.
  9. Ability to demonstrate empathy and provide compassionate care virtually.
  10. Possession of a compact nursing license is a plus.
